Highs today will heat up to the lower 90s west of I-95. Along the coast expect the mid 80s.
Heading into the late afternoon expect a few showers to pop up near I-75 and around the metro. The rain will then move toward the east with a few pockets of heavy rain potential over Marion into northwestern Volusia, Flagler, and parts of northern Lake county through sunset.
After that, a mild night in the upper 60s to low 70s under partly cloudy skies.
Rain chances dwindle by midweek and is replaced by hotter daytime highs.
Late week high temperatures will soar to the upper 90s feeling like the triple digits with humidity on the rise. We will be in record heat territory.
